Thy name is Love…

I was pondering about the various relationships that we experience or observe in our everyday life. A common thread in any relationship is the feeling of love. The dominant characteristic of the love, the way it manifests or what it represents in each of the relationships, is different subtly. The meaning of love thus keeps changing in different contexts and takes different forms. I found this interesting. Of course, there is always a combination of these attributes and it is also interchangeable depending on the relationship. Here is my perception, on what it is:

Between:

Mother and child…… unconditional

Father and child…… pride

Child and parent…… reverence

Husband and wife…… trust

Close friends…… forgiveness

Matured individuals…… companionship

Lovers…… longing

Siblings…… protection

Colleagues…… sharing

Grandparent and child…… adoration

Employee and his job…… passion

Child and her pet…… joy

Man and God…… devotion

Patient and the Doctor…… confidence

Disciple and his Guru…… faith

Student and the Teacher…… fondness

Teenagers…… belonging

Humans and Nature…… splendour

Children…… boundary less

Countries…… opportunity.
