Moods of a river…!!!

Sometimes you flow with such ease

Oblivious to nature’s tease;

You are so peaceful and serene

And your innocence spreads the sheen;

When you  are sheltered by the foliage around

You smile back at them with your feet on ground;

Your waves gently splash on the rocks

And precariously toss the floating stocks.

Sometimes you gush with so much zeal

And make everyone bow down in appeal;

You do not wait for anyone to abide

And anything on your way is brushed aside!

Your different moods amazes me

And teaches me a lesson without a fee;

You branch and reach the oceans finally

Where you merge with the rest entirely;

You do whatever it takes to meet your purpose,

Sometimes tranquil and sometimes tenacious!
