My Daddy Strongest!!!

 

A small tribute to my dearest DAD on Father’s Day. Though he is much older now, I cherish this photograph of him which always makes me feel ‘ “My Daddy strongest !”

When I was young and carefree

You took time to instill in me,

The importance of being responsible

Without ever shrinking my space plausible;

 

I now know how you have struggled

To make sure each of us got the best;

I know not how you managed all our demands

Which so callously on you we would thrust.

 

When we brought home prizes or a reward

Your eyes glistened with so much pride,

That always encouraged me to do more

To make that glint reappear, that I so adore.

 

I am in awe of your energy and passion

To go and reach out to anyone in abrasion;

Your efforts so sincere and committed

Has silently had an influence on me unlimited.

                                                                                                                           

You have guided me through my struggles,

Supported me despite my shortcomings,

Showering me with so much care and concern,

That has evolved me into the person I am!

 

For many years, you were the only man I knew

And my concept of this gender grew around you;

You have always been the icon I compare others few

And in my eyes, no one else to this day has beaten you!
