Medley

Year

::

:

The year has come and gone,

It’s certainly not been forlorn;

Work successes, few failures,

New colleagues and adieus;

Birthdays and  funerals,

Anniversaries and ceremonies; ::

Appreciations and criticisms, ::

          Compliments and complaints;      :: ;;

Score card green and some red,

Goals met and some abandoned; ::

Brisk walks and snuggly slumbers,  ::

          Strict diets, and many indulgences;        :: ;;

Rising ambitions and some withdrawals, :

Clear thoughts, with a little murkiness;

Relaxing holidays and somber Sundays,

Grand festivals and few lonely dinners;

Lots of poetry and some discarded prose,

Plenty of jokes and sarcastic pokes;

Magical moments, cherishable comments,

Also bundled with some under currents;

Some good, some bad, some love, some hate,

        All is fair in life, overall in a great state;       ::

                  Another brand new year is here,           :: :;

                      I’m all set to embrace it without any fear!          ::  :: ;;

This is the 50th post on my blog. Thanks to all my dear readers who have been the motivation for me to keep this alive.
